Mission & Vision

Marians Jazzroom stands for high-calibre jazz in an intimate club atmosphere. Our vision is to bring top international musicians to Bern and offer them - and the audience - an unforgettable, personalised concert experience. We focus on musical quality, proximity and acoustics that are unrivalled worldwide.

History

The Marians Jazzroom was founded in December 1992 and has since established itself as one of the best jazz clubs in the world. Named after co-founder Marian Gauer, the club is known for its excellent acoustics and carefully curated programme. A special highlight: the close proximity between the audience and musicians - with just 130 seats, guests can experience stars of the international jazz and blues scene up close. The renowned US magazine DownBeat has listed Marian's Jazzroom as the only Swiss club among the best in the world for years.

General information & culinary offer

The regular season at Marians Jazzroom runs from September to March. The renowned Bern International Jazz Festival takes place from March to May - also at the club. The programme changes weekly and offers top-class concerts in the genres of jazz, blues, gospel, soul and more.
