Alto saxophonist Jesse Davis is one of the top contemporary Jazz stars coming out of New Orleans, where he was born in 1965. He started to play the saxophone at 11 and has worked with Jack McDuff, Cecil Payne, Illinois Jacquet, Jay McShann, Chico Hamilton, Kenny Barron and many others. He released several CDs, many of them on the Concord label. Jesse contributes a flawless technique and a natural feeling for the blues to everyone of his performances. His music has been described as neo-bop but, as he says, «… all I wanna do is play beautiful music.» That he does …with a passion. Warren Vaché's inimitable style incorporates the complete range of the jazz vocabulary and defies conventional labels. He has been described as "lyrical", "exciting", "daring", "warm" and "accessible", with his delightful way of engaging the audience. Just when you think you can predict how Warren might finish off a phrase or interpret a given song, he turns quite another way or the tune receives a totally new treatment. In Warren Vaché, jazz has found a creator whose prodigious, hard-earned skills enable him to craft swinging performances of beauty, emotion and surprise. Warren has spent years playing with such greats as Rosemary Clooney, Benny Goodman, Hank Jones, Gerry Mulligan, Woody Herman, Bobby Short, and Benny Carter. Originally from Rome, Antonio Faraò’s musical sensibility together with a remarkable knack for melodic improvisation, have contributed to his reputation as one of the most respected pianists in the International scene. Faraò’s style is unique: flawless technical proficiency, unbridled creativity and exhilarating vitality, and remarkable rhythmic skills. He has performed and recorded with the likes of Franco Ambrosetti, André Ceccarelli, Daniel Humair, Mike Clark, Gary Bartz, Lee Konitz, Christian Mc Bride, Chico Freeman, Richard Galliano, Toots Thielemans, Jack Dejohnette, Dave Liebman, Didier Lockwood, Benny Golson, Joe Lovano, Johnny Griffin, Cecil Mc Bee…and with the famous italian pop singer Mina. This top quintet is finally completed with bass player Josh Ginsburg – a first call New York musician who performed regularlily with countless influential musicians – and drummer Mario Gonzi, a sideman of choice of many world renowned band leaders.
